Who We Are
CrossFit Fig is a strength and conditioning facility that develops individuals, athletes, and teams to reach elite levels of fitness. Located in Blue Springs in a 6,000 square foot facility gym we offer services such as CrossFit and Personal Training. Our training methods produce results for all levels of fitness; from children to elite athletes, and everything in between. Our program efficiently combines the most effective training methods of Weightlifting, Gymnastics, and High-Intensity Cardio. There isn’t a strength and conditioning program anywhere that works with a greater diversity of tools, modalities, and drills.
Why Choose FIG
At CrossFit Fig we train hard! Our training is intense and this creates a bond among our members that can’t be faked. We sweat, we expose weaknesses and we get stronger together. We are supportive, we are competitive, and we leave no room for egos or bad attitudes.
We will show you that you CAN train harder than you ever thought possible.
Be early and warm up
10-15 minutes early is best. Give yourself enough time to sign in, hit the bathroom, change, and warm-up before class starts. A Proper warm-up is the best way to prevent injury!
While the coach is going over points of performance do not talk when the coach is talking and move with the group when the coach instructs. Not listening to the coach can interfere with time management and the safety of each member of the class.
Attitude and effort earn respect. Work hard. Be optimistic, have fun and push yourself and those around you to do better.
Respect our equipment
NEVER drop an empty barbell or bumper plates smaller than 15lbs. Our equipment is expensive; treat it as your own.
Inform the Coach of injuries
Telling your coach about any injury allows the coach time to modify the WOD or Strength/Skill. Safety is our first priority.
Put equipment back where it belongs when you’re done and keep the chalk in the bucket!!!
Not only are you cheating yourself, but clients will notice, and you don’t want to be that person. Be honest with everyone else, and be honest with yourself.
Learn how to count
This is usually the hardest part when you first start CrossFit, if you lose count, start over or go back to the last rep you remember completing. Remember not counting correctly is a form of cheating.
